Icon Oceania is excited to announce they have now received approval on a State Significant Development Application (SSDA) for Westgate, a high-quality industrial estate at 253-267 Aldington Road, Kemps Creek.

The 10-hectare site is strategically located approximately five kilometres northeast of the future Western Sydney International Airport, offering seamless connectivity to Metro Sydney via key transport corridors, including the M4, M7, and the future Southern Link Road. As part of the vision for the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, the proposal will support the government's commitment to realising a 30-minute city by providing more employment opportunities to local residents in Kemps Creek and neighbouring suburbs.

The project includes four new warehouses subject to design finalisation totalling of 45,500sqm, new local roads, loading docks, car parking and supporting office space facilities.

Icon Oceania has successfully delivered in excess of 15 developments and investments with a gross value of over $1billion. These developments have been created and delivered with national builders such as Hickory, Icon Co and Grocon and award winning architects including Nettleton Tribe, SJB, WMK, Koichi Takada Architects, Tzannes Architects, Tonkin Zulaikha Greer, Turner Associates and Kann Finch.

A current project is Florin Hotel, a 5 star 228 room new build hotel valued at $275million being developed at 499 Kent St in the Sydney CBD in a Joint Venture with Kajima, a major Japanese multinational conglomerate and with expected delivery in late 2027. Florin is a luxury boutique hotel and is set to create a destination for like minded travellers in search for a unique offering in Sydney.

The project involves the adaptive reuse of a heritage listed 3 level building and construction of a new 22 level tower above.

This follows on from Icon Oceania's highly successful Vibe Hotel project in Sussex Street, Sydney which won the Urban Developer award for best Development of the Year Hotels and Accommodation 2020.
